Periodic Function

This is an example of a periodic function because it repeats itself in regular intervals. There is a crest and a trough at the same amplitude. The wavelengths, the distance from a crest to a crest or a trough to a trough, are also the same.

Exponential Decay Project

Our project was exponential decay because it showed the decreasing population of Europe because of the Black Death and had a base of 0<b<1. The graph had an asymptote of 0 and stopped growing to the right.

Rhode Island's population is currently around 1,000,055 people and increases by about 4.7% each year. What will the population be in 14 years?

Linear Programming Problem

You are starting a bakery. You want to sell sugar and chocolate chip cookies. For one batch of sugar cookies, it takes 2 cups of sugar and 3 cups of flour. For one batch of chocolate chip cookies, it takes 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of flour. You have 18 cups of sugar and 21 cups of flour. You can make a profit of $5 per batch of sugar cookies and $7 per chocolate chip cookies. How many cookies should you sell to maximize profit?
